Table, Part 2

Finally I'm able to cross this project off my "to do" list. The table is finished. I'm happy to have it completed and think that this just might be the end of my refinishing phase, at least for now.

I'm very happy with the results and love the table in the living room next to my grandmother's chair. The top is lovely wood, the legs and shelf aren't quite as pretty, but still cleaned up alright. Not bad for $3.

Did you use that terribly toxic "stripper" checmical to get the old paint off? I hope not, but it sure does work like a gem. Or did you just scrape it all off? Yes indeedy, hard work.

Thanks ladies! Kelly, no toxic strippers were used in the refinishing of this table :-). I scraped and sanded (with a mask on, of course) for weeks on end. There were times I was very tempted to go the toxic route, but my conscience kept me in check.
